LIGHT SCENOGRAPHY – CYCLING COMPETITION

On the occasion of the “Giro d’Italia” (male road cycling stage race that takes place along the Italian roads on an annual basis) the municipality of Lovere chose to illuminate the main squares with a projection scenography dedicated to the great champions of the past of this race. The project is aimed at enhancing the architectural, historical and artistic beauty of the town. The projection covers over 10,000 square meters of buildings in Lovere with images dedicated to the “Giro d’Italia” on the occasion of the departure from Lovere of the 16th stage of the race in 2019. In particular, the event concerns the marvelous amphitheater of Piazza Tredici Martiri, the Accademia Tadini, Piazza Garibaldi, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the promenade named after Lady Wortley Montagu.
